Skype for modern Windows

In may, we announced free video Group on some existing platforms calls, and you had informed the next arrival of this feature on other devices. Since this announcement, the number of group video calls has quadrupled, and we integrate this feature on Windows and Windows 2 terminals in 1 tablets. We would all stay more in touch with our friends, our loved ones, our colleagues and our activity groups located in different places. Group video calls give you the possibility. Watch our video for you guide in this group video calling experience and give you a glimpse behind the scenes of the key decisions we have taken.

We noticed that most of the calls of group operate between 3 or 4 participants. When we have configured Group for modern Windows video calls, we optimize so that three more chatty people – and yourself – are visible at the same time. However, you can participate in a call for up to 10 people: their video will appear as soon as they begin to talk. If you want to see the video of a person who is not talking, tap twice on their name/icon and their video will appear full screen. To return to the Gallery of all participants, tap twice again. In this way, you can focus on one person at any time.

Finally, if you want to do some research on the web, watch a video or read your emails during a group video call, you can reduce the size of Skype so that it takes only a portion of your screen. This allows you to do different tasks while chatting with your friends and loved ones as if they were physically with you. We look forward to see more users take advantage of the free group video calls on modern Windows.
